In the spirit of co operation and protecting our sport for future generations South Somerset MXC and South West MXC have agreed to work together and in doing so have created The West of England Youth Motocross Championship. We hope that club members can see the advantages of this and that they have not been dissuaded from this by any misinformation they have received or from disgruntled former members/associations who now it would seem, seek to destroy your clubs.

Our intention is to all mutually benefit from this partnership and make a sustainable future for your clubs. This will not be achieved by offering gimmicks but only by the support of you the members and those new members that have already been contacting us to join. Your clubs future and youth motocross in the West Country can only be secured by your support, so it’s up to you.

The Championship will initially be run by South Somerset MXC and South West MXC under the MC Federation.

Each club will run four meetings of this Championship within their own Championship rounds, which will be attended by the other club riders.

There will be 8 rounds to The West of England Youth Motocross Championship. All 8 rounds to qualify.

Each club will also run no more than 6 more events for their own club championship, no dates will clash with the other member club/clubs event dates.

All 8 Elite League rounds will be completed by the end of August, this will allow riders to qualify for the Grand Slam. Riders will qualify for the Grand slam with their position in their championship as of the end of August.

We intend to use Mylaps timing at all The West of England Youth Motocross Championship events.

A club may run another series or a one off event, but it must not have any event date clashes with one of the other member clubs unless it has been sanctioned. They may also run a two day event that does not count towards their championship.

All club members will be considered as associate members of the other participating club/clubs, and as so will not be levied any other charge other than that of what a full member of that club would pay for entry at any of its events. (no visitors fee applicable).

Members can be full members of all clubs who are in The West of England Youth Motocross Championship and so therefore compete in all three Championships. An associate member of a club will not qualify in that clubs championship, only full members qualify.

Members can only qualify for the Grand Slam with one club and must declare which club that will be with at the start of the season on their MCF licence application form.

All profits from The West of England Youth Motocross Championship events go solely to the club that runs that event. All clubs will run their club championship according to their own club rules.
