  4. We are pleased to announce that after South West’s EGM, they voted to take their club forward by affiliating to the MC Federation, this means The West of England Youth MX Championship is now up and running. More details will soon be available after both clubs have finalized dates and venues. To take part in the WoEYMXC, all you have to do is become a member of South Somerset, South West or both. This means with one licence you will now be able to compete in three championships if you so wish. You will also be involved in the Elite Youth League and if you qualify for it, The Grand Slam.
Both clubs are really excited about this new collaboration and believe it to be a great opportunity for youth and adult riders alike. MCF for their part have been very proactive in the WoE concept and will do all they can to make this a true West of England Championship.

  5. Hi Adrian, as far as we are aware the West of England is not on the SW agenda. AMX and Open will still be able to ride as they do now, because it will still be a part of their club championship. It is extremely doubtful over subscription will occur. The other clubs asked have yet to show their intent, so at this stage it would be wrong to disclose who they are. The feedback has been very positive from those that have shared dialog with us so far.
We hope we are successful with this proposal, but at the end of the day it is up to all the club members not just the club committees to decide. So if you are a member of a club and are supportive of this idea make sure it goes to your committee.

  6. Hi just after a few answers, I ride in southwest mx club and I know as a club they are going to discuss this next week. What I would like to know is will the youth championship still include AMX and OPEN (cant still be young at 40)
What will happen incase of over subscription for any class ?
what other clubs might be involved ? (was going to ride cornwall as well but cant afford to have another licence)

    thanks

  7. Just to wish all those involved in the West of England Youth MX the best of luck with the idea. Think difficult times (with lower rider numbers) require new approaches.

  8. This sounds like a great idea! If it runs as smoothly as the South Somerset meetings did in 2012 that we attended it will be first class. I am keeping my fingers crossed thsi works out and will be very keep to join up!
